>> TRANSCARDS is a Franco-Belgian project, supported by the European Commission. >> It enables 100,000 French and 50,000 Belgian patients to access ambulatory and hospital health care facilities in the 8 hospitals in the "Thiérache" region , on both sides of the border. >> Objective: simplification of administrative procedures for access to health care for border populations. >> Principle : replacement of administrative paper forms for access to cross-border health care by the use of VITALE and SIS (Belgian Social Security) cards.
